Your Calendar (in the sidebar, and on the CALENDAR tab of every team page) lists all of the matches of the current season involving your team, those already played as well as those scheduled for the future. You can look at a single day, the next 30 days or the whole season, and pick an earlier season to see its games.
During the regular season, each team plays two league games a week, on Saturdays and Tuesdays, and on Thursdays either a cup game or, once out of the cup, a scrimmage. Additionally, three of the games during the season will also be classified as televised games. These games have a higher impact on your fan base than normal games. Win big or lose a nail-biter on the road on TV and everybody wants your star player's jersey. Lose big and be prepared to look at even more empty seats.
Every game on the calendar opens its own page, and what you find there depends on when you look:
- Once a game has started, its page is the match viewer: watch it live, with running commentary, the score and updated stats for all of the players, or come back later and watch the replay of every shot, rebound, foul, timeout and point. A game on air also shows its running score wherever it appears, from your calendar to the top bar, and its own chat room runs beside the play-by-play.
- Before a game, its page is where you set its tactics: your active roster (the 12 players who will be eligible to play in the game), your starting lineup, your backups and reserve players, and the offensive and defensive tactics you will use. You can also prepare them in Tactics. If you don't set a game's tactics, your team plays its tactics for that competition or, failing those, its team default, which may not be the best choices for your team. Choosing your tactics to optimize your team's performance requires careful thought; much of this ability comes from trying out varying strategies and different player combinations, analyzing the resulting box scores, and talking with more experienced users. Tactics lock 15 minutes before tip-off (two minutes before a scrimmage), because after that, the coach will be down in the locker room giving his pre-game pep talk.
- Once a game is over, its page shows the final score, the complete box score and the team ratings for the match, and lets you watch the replay.
